The Swift Boat thing wasn't a smear, I've met people who were on the boat with Kerry and they all say he was a fake. He faked his injuries to get his purple hearts, he faked his stories to get in with the anti war crowd after he left. The man is a piece of shit.

The DEMs can only win by media manipulation and massive voter fraud. Hell, they're signing up illegal immigrants by the hundreds here in Oklahoma. Thats why the DEMs are fighting our new anti illegal alien laws.

Because it's a corrupt third world slime pit, but you just won't say it.

once again what is your point ?

yeah it's full of corruption, there's tons of probs there and i prefer living in switzerland

You didn't answer my question.

yeah i did

i don't live there because it's corrupt, because it's expensive - st.petersburg and moscow are more expensive than geneva (basket of goods indicators), because it would be a big adjustment for me because i haven't lived there since i was six, i wouldn't go as far as you are, it's far from a slime pit - it's much more culturally rich (i'm thinking the two aformentioned cities) than most cities in the world, i would feel at home there, surrounded by my own people, and it's not the yeltsin years, stability is pretty good, and chaos is a thing of the past, but overall switzerland has better living conditions, and in switzerland, because it's so apolitical, i run probably one of the smallest risks possible of being a victim of terrorism, political overturns, war etc, which i could encounter in a more politicized nation such as russia or america - none of this makes me less russian though, just because i choose to live abroad i'm not revoking my heritage.

Less Russian? Perhaps not.
A convincing advocate for a nation with evil intent? Nope. Not that either.

A smear campaign, smear tactic or simply smear is a metaphor for activity that can harm an individual or group's reputation by conflation with a stigmatized group. Sometimes smear is used more generally to include any reputation-damaging activity, including such colloquialisms as mud slinging.

Common targets are public officials, politicians, and political candidates. To a lesser degree, the term can refer to an attempt to damage a private person's reputation; for example, during a trial, the opposing counsel may attempt to cast doubt on the reliability of a witness.

ok so how does the swift boat thing not fall into this definition ? i didn't say the vets were lying

You left out the most important part of your definition of smear campaign!

The concept of the smear campaign is related to the concepts of propaganda, media bias, yellow journalism, and other falsehood-related terms such as libel and pejoration. In extreme cases, smear campaigns may lead to widespread persecution, such as in the case of the Dolchstoßlegende before WWII

Note the "falsehood-related terms such as libel and pejoration" part. It's only a smear if it's not the truth but then again if we held the Democrats to the truth they would cease to exist.

Try again, you screwed that one up big time.
